The sun is shining today and I am going to show a
little color lot of yellow from the Bachman Idea House in Minneapolis which I visited last weekend. Be aware this post is photo heavy.
Lamp made from flower pots.
The dining room table.
Huge flower arrangement on a pine table.
That is an old gate painted yellow in the background.
The use of a patio table in the kitchen
A lamp made out of a bird cage. There is burlap woven through the cage and big pearl type beads in the bottom. The light bulb is very fancy with a silver top.
There is a lamp on each side of the bed. The headboard is made of a rug rolled on a curtain rod.
The office had lots of birds. You can see them on top of the curtains. Even the shelf is a bird shape and there is a bird cage sitting in the corner. A beautiful yellow bouquet sits on the desk.
The ceiling light is made of grapevines.
The next couple of photos are in the girls room.
Pieces of picket fence are used upside down with grapevines as valances for the curtains.
The desk in the girls room
The back of the chairs in the porch were decorated with ribbons, greenery and spoon rests.
Planters in the porch
Another lamp made from a bird cage.
The window boxes.
These are only a few of the pictures I took, but are my favorites. You can see a lot more photos from the Bachman House by visiting Linda at
Itsy Bits and Pieces. She did several posts on the house and there are links to them on her blog.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
I have to go out and shovel snow now. See you next time.
