5 Small signs of spring

After having had yet another snowstorm on Monday, we are finally seeing some signs of spring. I am showing some for Random 5 Friday.

1. The robins were the first to show up but they came before we had 3 more snowstorms.  There is a saying here that it has to snow 3 more times after the robins come.  I guess the was the case this year.

2. My Hen & Chicks are looking good after the snow melted.

3. The peonies are beginning to peak through the ground.

4. The neighbor's tree is starting to bud.

5. And the ducks are enjoying the open water.

What a difference a week makes. It's 65 degrees and the sun is shining!  There are still dirty piles of snow around though.  Hopefully they will be gone soon.

Joining Nancy  over at a Rural Journal for Random 5 Friday.
Check it out to see all the other randomness.

Thanks for stopping!  Have a wonderful weekend!
Until Next Time
Barb

Glad Spring decided to show up at your place- it sure has taken it's time around here.

It's happened here too, and today is downright balmy! I love to watch the peonies and hosta unfold out of the earth - gorgeous.

Nice set of photos! Wish I could show the same here, but not quite ready for that yet, although I think a Robin flew across the road in front of me yesterday. None in my yard yet though, and still too much snow for any plants to be showing new shoots, although the trees are budding out. Looking out my window right now I'm seeing a few snowflakes floating down not and then.....

Yeah! I'm so happy that you're finally getting a few signs of spring! I never heard that saying about the Robbins. It's kind of funny that it turned it to be true. Sometimes I think animals know more than we do.

Great shot of the robin! I hope it stays warm Barb!

Love your hen and chicks. Mine have "disappeared" over the years. They look great in the fall and just aren't there in the spring. Only a few left from what was once a large crop. Temp here today reached 70. Haven't seen that since early October last year.

Except for what little snow you have lying around, I'd say that we're enjoying a parallel spring.

Such pretty signs of spring! We're a little farther along here in Virginia, but we had some snow this month--very strange for us!

I haven't seen hens and chicks in years--so pretty!

Ahhhh spring - signs are everywhere. Lovely photos.

I know you're encouraged by these signs of spring, Barb. And what better way to combat the winter that refuses to end than by hunting signs of spring. Had forgotten peonies--must see if there are signs of them in this yard.

Seems like just a couple of weeks ago you and I were lamenting the snow and comparing storms. Wait -- it was two weeks ago! Lol. I'm so hoping we've seen the last of Old Man Winter.

Love your images of new life Barb. Makes me happy!

This has been a winter we will all remember for a long time! It is almost summer here, but almost nothing is growing well in my little garden. Too chilly!

Our spring has been colder than usual, but I'm glad I don't live up north. Well, when it's 100 degrees this summer, I may wish I were up there. lol

Wonderful signs of spring!
We're coming out of our northern MN ice age.. a whole lot of melting going on in the past 24 hours or so!
The kids reveled in it today..
We Minnesotans needed a day like this! :)
