Old White Barn

These pictures were taken on March 29th when we had sunshine and all the snow had melted.  Since then we have had 22 inches of snow and it's snowing again today.  I am so tired of it but I keep telling myself not to complain.  We need the moisture and think of all those  people that are having flooding.

This farm site belongs to a friend and has no house.  But it has 2 barns.  I am saving one of the barns for next weeks Barn Charm though.

East Side

North Side with just a little snow

South Side

I didn't go around to the wet side as it was too muddy.  Maybe I'll go back when things have greened up.

I really like the cupola

An old pump on the East side.

Thanks for stopping!  I hope you are all having a sunny day.
Until next time

Barb

That is a really beautiful barn! I love the cupola and the old pump. I'm sorry you're still getting snow there. It's unreal the weird weather we're still getting although our snow is gone and the sun is shining today. Take care. It'll soon be nice and green. Blessings, Pam

It's a beauty!
I love white barns. They're some of my favorites.
The cupola is a gem, and all it's windows along the east side.
Can't wait to see the other one next week!

Nice find! I love that it's white - even though I do like red barns, and the old water pump is fantastic. I really do hope you get some warmer weather soon!

I love the pump! Be careful of the ground around it though in case it's not strong. You are such a pioneer- scouting all these fantastic photo scenes!

Wow, Barb! I am loving this barn and the Buchanan House photos all together. Yes? Where is Spring? Yesterday was lovely here but today is windy cold and sunshine, which is deceiving. Hope you get Spring some time this week!!!

Sorry you are still getting snow.

What an interesting looking barn, and I love that cupola too, so interesting. So, so sorry about all of your snow, but you sure don't want all the rain we received along with the flooding.

Wonderful barn - I just love the old ones. Wow - 22 more inches of snow - that is a lot - especially in Late April, right? Hope it melts soon.

The cupola steals the show!
It really is a vintage treasure.
The barn seems to have a fairly good tin roof and I'm thinking it could be restored fairly easily and be a real beauty.

Beautiful Barb! The detail on the cupola is fantastic and the old water pump certainly brought back memories.

As always, such great photos, Barb. And I love how you always spot the interesting details. Can you even remember a time when you've had this much snow and so late in the season? No wonder everyone in your neck of the woods is suffering snow fatigue.

it's april....how can it still be snowing??

Such gorgeous photos...sorry about the snow, but when it's this time of year, it surely can't last long and is good for slow absorption in the ground. I, too, love the cupola and the water pump, but mostly I'm appreciating what a fine eye you have for photography.

Lovely barn! Love the pump and cupola shots. The cupola looks like it was built by the Louden company like the barns at Creamer's Field, but I think the one in your photo was the extra fancy model. It has some wonderful details!
