Brick Barn

This is the second barn on the farmsite of the barn I showed you last week.  This one is  brick with a brick silo.

This is a walkway between the barn and the silo

Beautiful - unusual to see brick used for a barn. Hopefully it will help it to last longer.

This is an unusual looking barn with it's brick base and the rounded shingled roof. It must have been a difficult roof to shingle! Great photos. Have a wonderful day Barb!

What is striking to me is how tall the top part of the barn is! It's really an unusual barn! Twyla

I'm fascinated by round brick things - and this silo is lovely. And the brick barn is charming - it must have been a fabulous day when this was all finished.

That brick silo is beautiful..what a work of art! :)

Built to last or just a re-purposed use for some excess bricks? Now you have me curious about how brick is laid in a circular pattern. These look rather long.

I absolutely love this one! I would love to have walked around to check this one out.

I love brick, and to see so much of it on a barn is unique!
I love the shot of the door way that connects the barn & silo.

Hi Barb, this barn is very interesting. Very rare to see a brick silo. Wonderful pics. Your adventures photographing barns is fabulous. I know I have said this before, but I think you could write and photo a midwest barn book.
Really!!

Barb these photos are awesome!!! I especially love the one of the walkway...this would look beautiful in a frame. That is something I would truly gravitate to if it were hanging in a gallery...in fact I think I would probably have to buy it, bring it home and hang it in my living room....it is a great shot.

This barn will stand forever. Some great pictures to enJOY and dream by. I saw some concrete barns last week but no brick. Were these folks rich in their day?

Barb....When I was growing up in Palm Beach, people in the "big houses" along the ocean have these mirrors at the ends of their driveways so they could see oncoming traffic and not have an accident. This street in Waynesboro was directly across the street from a military school and heavily used. They are fascinating mirrors because you can see so very much. Your barn shots this week are absolutely out of this world. The shadows are superb. What a great find. Your photography is super. genie
