Rural Scene

As I was driving past this pasture the other day I just had to stop and take a picture of the cattle standing in the shade out of the hot afternoon sun.

I am happy to say we had over an inch of rain last night!!

and
Friday Fences

Thanks for stopping!  Have a great day.

Until next time.

Crammed in there like sardines! Congratulations on the rain! I know it wasn't much, but it's a start.

Looks like cows are the subject of the day this week. I posted a cow photo and this is the third cow shot I have visited today.

Nice you had some rain. Can you push those clouds this way.

Hooray for rain for you!!! Still waiting here.

Great shots of the cattle. Just imagine them having to deal with the heat and the flies. I hope the rain cooled them off.

Yay for the rain! Hope you get enough to salvage the crops and cool everyone down! I just love photos of cows hanging out...something to peaceful and reminiscent of my childhood!

It's been one of the hottest, dry summers that I can remember.

Glad you got some rain!

I'm glad you got some rain, Barb. It's looking pretty dry in the photos, a common problem this year.

Amazing isn't it that cows, sheep etc.. will seek out shelter, and shade. Yet, there are many farmers that don't provide shade for their animals. I don't get it.

Love the picture! So glad that you got rain too!!

Smiles :)

I've always had a soft spot for cows. Not sure why, but they always make me smile, especially when they're peacefully grazing in a field. Thanks for the share! :)

Was just thinking poor things need water desperately, I'm sure. So glad you got some rain. We did too--grass almost green again.
