More weeds, wild flowers, and a barn

This barn is not pretty and it sits right in town.  Farmers bring their pigs here to be shipped to market.

But I thought this side of it made a pretty picture taken in the evening light,

Linking to Barn Charm

We had more rain yesterday which we are so thankful for, and it has cooled down into the 70's.  My kind of weather!

Several of you asked what kind of camera or lens I bought.  It is a point and shoot, Canon Power Shot SX260HS with 20x zoom. I can't afford a big camera and lens, and my arthritic wrists wouldn't be able     to hold it..

I will be taking a break for the rest of the week to be with my grandkids before school starts.  I will miss joining my favorite linky parties, but I will visit when I can.

Until next time, have a great week!

Barb

I like it in it's weathered state and so agree that the side with the sunflowers is beautiful.
For some reason it reminds me of a train car. :)
Have a wonderful visit with your grands. I just had mine for three weeks. Joyous moments - savior them.

I love it! The height of the sunflowers and their steady stems serves as a nice contrast to the rustic red facade of the barn. I'll tkae this over a city scene any day. xo, andrea

Nicely done, Barb.

That's ok if you haven't ridden in a water ride for a long time. That was a virtual ride you could imagine yourself on, if you are hot and wanted to get wet.

Did I tell you I love the barn shots you did? amazing!

Hi Barb, This barn is charming and the sunflowers are so pretty.
Hope you enjoy time with your grands before they start back to school. Where did summer go? I am ready for Fall though. Please send us your 70 degrees!! We enjoyed the mid 80's in Santa Fe and just came home to triple digits again.

Have a nice rest of the week.
Thanks for stopping by while I was on vacation.
