Hardy Hibiscus and Window Boxes

My Hardy Hibiscus bloomed for the first time.

The window boxes are finally filling in.  The ivy is really growing.
I also planted some Autumn Joy Sedum under the window boxes.
A friend was digging hers up and gave them to me.

Your hibiscus is very nice... this has been a great year for them here in the midwest... they apparently relish the extra heat! Larry

Barb, that hibiscus is gorgeous! I am so anxious to get back to my yard now and enjoy it - something that has been sadly neglected this spring! I love your window boxes too!

Extraordinary pictures! You will love the Autumn Joy Sedum. We had a lot of it at our last home. Hope you have a wonderful day.

Your hibiscus looks like a sea creature or a sculpture...really neat form! I love my autumn sedums, too...I have five big bunches of it and every year they seem to get a little bigger. Wonderful seed heads on those guys!

Hi Barb- Your hibiscus is so pretty! I haven't seen blooms on mine yet. I planted them last year so I don't know much about them but I thought they were dead for so long because the plants just wouldn't come out of the ground! I guess they want warm temps! Your planter boxes are looking grand too! I don't have any sedum anymore but I always enjoy the plant when I see it!

I have been wanting to do a chair like this for years. I will get around to it one day, maybe.

Window boxes are on of my favorite things to see on a cottage. Yours are great.
