Barn, Mules and a Giveaway

Some friends of mine have been fixing up their barn.  They have given it a new roof, painted it, and repaired the foundation.  I stopped by one day last week to get some photos.

They also have 5 mules that they ride and a wagon that they use to give rides.

I liked the soft nose and the wiskers

Below are 4 8x10 photos that I have matted to fit 11x14 frames.  I will be giving one of them away. I promised a giveaway a few weeks back and I have been waiting for them to be matted.  February was my birthday, my 2 year blogversary, and I reached 200 followers.  All good reasons for a giveaway.     These pictures did not turn out the best as the light in the house wasn't very good.  The first 2 are matted with a pale yellow mat that matches the sun.

This one is matted with a pale gray

The last one is matted with a dark charcoal gray.  I laid a white frame over it so there was some contrast between the matt and the black paper I was using to photograph it on.

To enter the giveaway you must be a follower of this blog.  Leave a comment saying which photo you would like to win.  I will be announcing the winner on Monday, March 18, using the Random Org Generator.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great week.
I'll see you next time!

your friends certainly did up the barn great. Especially love the mule photos. Did have a country property with ten donkeys at one time in my life. Mine was also a February birthday; we're both Pisceans perhaps? Dreamy fishes ...

Hi Barb,
It is so nice to see someone remodeling a barn. I don't see that very often anymore. They did a great job. It is beautiful, as are all of your photos.

Should I be the lucky one, I would pick #3--love the winter scene.

I've always had a fondness for mules; mayhap because my Dad always said I was like one? And the barn! Beautiful as a silver-haired lady ready to paint the town in her new red dress.

If I should win one of your photos I'd be delighted to have you choose; I love them all!

That red barn reminds me of classic toy one that children used to play with (maybe they still do)with all of the little plastic animals. It really is beautiful.

As for your giveaway, I would choose the third one. I like its wintry feel and looks rather like Christmastime to me! All of the photos are lovely, Barb. What a neat idea for a giveaway.

Great idea for the giveaway, Barb. I would love to win the last one because it reminds me so much of my first Minnesota winter and the fabulous barns I found in the West Central area. No matter what my future holds for me, I will always remember fondly my MN winter. :-)

Hi Barb,
I found you via A Rural Journal.

That is one cute mule face - I'm guessing he feels soft if you pet him.
What a wonderful job they are doing sprucing up the barn. I love how the red barn looks in the foreground of all the white snow. Beautiful!

All of the photos are gorgeous, it's hard to pick a favorite, but I'm going to go with the last photo #4. Please enter me in your drawing and thanks for the opportunity!!
