Grandma Barb’s This and That

Random 5 Friday on Sat.

1.  I spent last weekend with my daughter and grandkids near the Twin Cities.  I attended my grandson' band concert.  He's in 7th grade.  No picture of that. I also attended my granddaughter's Show Choir contest.  She's a 9th grader and her group won their division.

2.  I finally received my bi-pap machine after 6 months and 3 sleep studies.  I'm trying to get used to it.

3.  Finished reading the book Safe Haven.  I enjoyed reading it but haven't seen the movie yet.

4.  Celebrated my mom's 96th birthday with cake at the nursing home on Thursday and Dairy Queen with 2 of my daughters on Friday.

5.  It's raining today.  Does that mean Spring is near?  I doubt it as the ground is still covered with snow and the rain is supposed to change to snow tonight.

I'm having a giveaway here.  I hope you will all stop by and sign up.  Thanks to Nancy at A Rural Journal for posting my giveaway on her sidebar.  I'm joining her for  Random 5 Friday even though it's Saturday.

Have a great weekend.  Thanks for stopping by!
See you next time

Barb

How nice to see pics of you and your family Barb. And your dear mum too. God bless her. I'm finally getting used to my CPAP and it's taken 3 months. I almost enjoy it now and get about 6 hours of sleep every night! I feel more rested in the day time too. I'm sure you will get used to yours as well and will feel much better. Blessings, Pam

Hi Barb...I love your photos of your family...and how lucky you are to have time together and to be able to see all of your grand children's accomplishments. You must be a proud grandma. Bless your mother and what a sweet and wonderful daughter you are to make her day so special.

I just read the very same book "Safe Haven"...one of my favorite authors and I love the setting in this story...kind of a sad ending though. A good read nonetheless.
Thanks for sharing your lovely family photos.

What a nice visit! To get to attend two events for your grandchildren and then have your mom's 96th birthday!!! Wow! My hubby's doctor told us a while back to thank his old relatives because living long is in the genes....so it looks like we will have at least a couple of decades to talk to each other through blogs, huh? Tell your mom happy birthday for me. That's wonderful to be blessed with such a long life!

Hey Barb, So nice of you to come over to my blog and follow me! I live in the southwestern corner of New Hampshire in a tiny hamlet called Harrisville. Beautiful place that takes one back in time and is chock full of artists! Not sure what or why so many artists live here but I'm glad for the creative energy that abounds here!
Look forward to lots of future chats :D
Hugs,
