On the Road Less Traveled

I found this old barn on a road less traveled.  The roof looks in pretty bad shape.

A faded beauty!

Beautiful. I hope someone can keep it up to just the right state to maintain the character.

A metal roof would do much to start preserving this amazing old barn.

So glad you got a photo of that barn while it is still standing. They're all soon going to be missing from the landscape.

It should be repaired, but it's so beautiful the way it is too, isn't it?

The barn is probably older than the trees. Lovely shot.

The roof does look to be in poor shape, but the barn is very cool! I can't tell if the roof was originally green or if that's just moss or lichen growing on the shingles.

What a pretty setting, surrounded with the trees in the background.

It's a pretty barn even in it's advanced age. It makes me sad to see so many barns being neglected.

That roof does look in pretty bad shape. Almost like it could snap off at any moment! But it's still beautiful :)

Very green - even on the roof!

The barns are beautiful out your way, even if they are in rough shape!

Dearest Barb,
As we cannot see these barns, I really enjoy your picture♡♡♡ I wonder how old it is, love the moss on the roof which expresses signs of its age(^_^)v And love the angle you chose.

PS> I'm so sorry for my belated comment. And I really am grateful for your sweet comment for me. I'm doing my best, my friend.

Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

What a neat barn. I think barns in any shape are always beautiful - they speak of time gone by and history. They always seem like they would have lots of stories to tell. I know when we were kids we played in my Grandpa's barn and have such wonderful childhood memories. Beautiful photo.
