Pheasant

I had four pheasant pictures that I edited in Picasa that I tried to upload here.  This is the only one I could upload.  I am going to link this to Wild Bird Wednesday and then I guess I will be taking a blog break because I don't have time to figure this all out.  If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Update - Here are the other 3 photos.  Don't even ask how they got uploaded.  The problem started when I did an update to Picasa last night.

Linking to Wild Bird Wednesday
I'm also joining Madge at Rurality Blog Hop

Thanks for stopping.  See you when I have time to figure this out.

Hmm.. I do use Picasa for filing & storing photos.. it makes a great catalog for the family to use. I haven't had any problems loading photos from there.

BUT - We've had all kinds of technical issues at home lately. First our internet was down for a couple of days earlier in the month. I went through all kinds of trouble with it, they said I needed a new modem, so on & so forth.. and finally it was learned from the company that it was on their end, not me. Yesterday I had no dial tone on our land line all day. Apparently both have had to do with our carrier, Centurylink. They had a major repair to do, I was told it was a big deal, and until the engineers got their special part from the coast, they were sorry to say our area would be under "Low Bandwidth."
Still today (this problem is getting to be a few weeks old now) I had internet problems when I needed to fetch some important documents from our online banking. It was slow to the point of not working.
I know you're somewhere in MN, too, so it's possible you could be affected by this too?
Sorry I'm no help .. I just blame the internet!

Blogger has been glitchy lately. I expect it will take a couple of days before they get things fixed. Great shot, I'll be looking forward to seeing the rest!

I don't do Picasa either Barb' but can you not suitably resize with your favourite photo-editing programme, save, and then upload from your own computer files rather than going through Picasa? Your pheasant photo is beautiful. Shame you had all the hassles but we all have our share of them; it's not just you

Beautiful photo but unfortunately I don't know anything about Picasa...in the meantime I'm looking forward to your return!

I use Picassa but haven't had trouble lately. I had this happen about a year ago and had to start saving all my pictures to a hard drive and uploading from there. I did that for a few months and then for no reason, it started working again.
Hope you get it working again soon!

That is a gorgeous photo Barb! I noticed the snow sparkling too. Very pretty. I just had an update this morning for Picasa and I think addressed that very issue. Have you checked for any new updates?

What a beautiful capture. I haven't seen a pheasant for years. When I lived in Massachusetts used to see them all the time but living in Maine they seem to be non-existent. I guess they don't like all the snow up here....hahaha. Beautiful, beautiful birds.

I love this picture. My husband and I used to drive in the country to look at the pheasant. They are so beautiful.

well, glad you were able to upload the first.

when you get some time, try to upload another photo to a new post - see if you get a message that you've run out of photo storage space - if so, you can purchase more thru google/picasa, you can choose to delete photos from older posts to free up space, etc. i've heard some folks say if photos are kept under a certain resolution/size, it doesn't impact space restrictions, but i'm not sure of that.

OMyGosh! Pheasants remind me of my Dad. He loved to hunt them and when ever I see one I always think of him. He was a great Daddy. Awh ~

Isn't that fun how just certain things remind of someone? Hey, how is your Mom doing?

Terrific photos, those guys are fast you must have been waiting for them. ;) I used to use picasa exclusively but never had luck uploading directly from, always had to save somewhere else, hope you can figure it out. Share if you do.

Wonderful shots Barb!
I love the snowy scene of the first one. Reminds me of vintage greetings cards.
He must have been neat to see.
I know Blogger stores our photos on Picasa but I've never used it any other way.
I'm here late enough to see all the pics so I know you figured something out.

Wonderful shots of the Pheasant.
I used to have Picasa and loved it. Then I was told I had to purchase more space then I got a lap top and had so much trouble with Picasa I just deleted all of it. Had to save my pics though. Good luck. MB

I'm more than a tad jealous that you got so many great photos of pheasants!

The Internet has been quite slow for the past few days, at lest in my area. I have no idea what's going on.
