More early morning shots on my way home from my sleep study. I really think I need to get up early more often, don't you.
The sun peeking over the barn roof on a winter morning.
The sun as it peeks over the cattle shed.
Many of you asked about the number on the horse in my last post. I tried doing a little research but didn't come up with any information.
They are predicting freezing rain for tomorrow. I hate ice. I would rather have a snowstorm any day.

Early morning shots are gorgeous!
I hate ice too - stay safe!
if getting up early lets us see these beautiful rural views w/ the promise of a new day's rays, then yeah. set that alarm clock! :)
Beautiful, indeed! Really nice photos!
My hubby always gets up early and when I hear what a beautiful sunrise we'd have, I kick myself for being a lazy bone :) These are beautiful!
Love your gorgeous photos.

I love to get up for the sunrise, and do so several times a week. I think that my favourite moment is the one before dawn, when the stars are still out and the world is expectant.
Lovely shots! It's so pretty when the sun is shining through like that. Hope you don't get too much ice! I'm with you - snow over ice any day!
The photos are beautiful!
Love those sun "flares" that you captured! Those are really beautiful photos...thanks so much for sharing them with us.
Lovely shots. So worth getting up early for!
Hugs,
Patti
Wow! It looks so serene and peaceful!
Amazing sunrise over that snow-covered barn Barb. :)
Beautiful shots! In Dutch we have a saying "de morgenstond heeft goud in de mond", meaning as much as that early mornings are the best part of the day.
Have a great Sunday, Barb.
Perfect shots! Brr... This reminds me of the days when my husbands family was still running their dairy farm. Not much fun in the winter to get up early and milk cows! I hate ice too! Hope it won't be too bad in your area!
Hi Barb, I am a first time visitor who stopped in from away for the weekend blog. This shot of horses is similar to some scenes in the area we now live, VA eastern shore, also in a small town (pop under 500). Like yourself, I also enjoy photography and always have a small digital camera with me. Feel free to drop onto our blog for a visit anytime as we enjoy and appreciate back door company the best.
By the way, where did you visit on your NH trip as. Are hoping to relocate there once we sell this house. Our grandkids live in RI which would be much closer than our now 10 hr trip...and we are not native southern folk and do miss winter snow as in our native NJ...we recently got some here, but 1 inch is not a snowfall to us.
Gorgeous shots Barb! I don't like ice either. We're to get rain mid-week, so they say. :)
Beautiful photos. The snow here in Lincolnshire, England has just melted and the colours have finally returned. Take care. Chel
The sun on the farm buildings is really nice. The best photos are early in the morning.
The ice really is the worst weather. I hope you have a good week. I love photos of barns ....so beautiful with the light streaming in!
Magnificent photography of one of nature's delights ~ beautiful blog ~ excellent and creative photography ~ love it!

oh beautiful photos! yes, getting up early has its rewards! we're in for freezing rain too..
What beautiful morning pictures. How did your sleep study go? I've had one of those. They sure do leave you a goopy mess, don't they?
Cindy
Such an early morning peaceful look when time seems to stand still before the activity of the day.
I detest freezing rain, so dangerous to drive and walk in. Hope it snows for you instead.
Judith
Oh, my, these are wonderful. I often think I need to get up early...at least occasionally.
Beautiful! Love the snow and the snow coming up! Gorgeous barn and silo!
Gorgeous morning light... I almost always start my days shooting well before dawn... that marvelous light only lasts a short while... Thank you for sharing on Weekly Top Shot #67!
Ugh, sleep study! I've had three and never got much sleep in any of them. Lovely photos.
getting up early is so rewarding, in so many different ways!!
these are just gorgeous barb, i am inspired to get up, get out, and enjoy the earliest part of the day!!
it's a beautiful barn/place also!!
Wow...so beautiful, Barb!
I'm a morning person so seeing the sun rise is a big deal to me every single day.
Keep snapping away!! Your photos are so beautiful!
Hope you're doing well.
Love and hugs,
Lisa xoxo
I feel the crispness of your morning even as I sit here in my Snuggi! Great morning light, Barb!
Your barn photos are just beautiful!
So that's what early morning looks like ;-) I always miss it. On weekends I sleep right through, and on weekdays, I'm most likely in the shower. Beautiful shots - someday I'm going to get outside at that time!
Beautiful sunrise! Wonderful barns!!
I'm a morning person and love seeing the sunrise. Great photos and I hope you didn't get any ice.
What a lovely blanketing of snow.
Very pastoral scenes...they would make a lovely painting. (I don't like ice storms either.)
Just for these beautiful sunrise photos, hope you don't have to wear one of those dreaded sleep masks?
Love these early morning shots where the camera chats with the sun.
Barb, I went back and read your "light at end of tunnel" so disregard my kind of flip question about needing sleep mask. It sounds like you've been through some tiresome (no pun intended)times in resolving some health issues. Hope you're finding solutions to them. Take care. Sometimes we women get so busy taking care of everyone else and end up in a fragile condition ourselves.
Am following you now of GFC ~ I also have a GFC ~ you wrote you couldn't find how to follow my blog ~
Your Photography is exquisite!

Morning light is the best, and these farm shots in the snow are beautiful. Great job! Hope things go great with your sleeping.
These are lovely Barb!
Beautiful pictures... I love barn pictures and they seem to even be more beautiful with the snow and the sun.
Ah beautiful shots. No sun coming up here n the morning--only rain coming down. MB
Sunrise is the best time of the day and your photos prove it - at least to me. :)
Such a lovely farmstead sunrise. I suppose it you don't sleep well, it's hard to rise at dawn! But - glad you did.
Early morning is a great time to take photos. Lovely photos!
Your picture looks like there should be a rooster crowing and a bowl of Kelloggs Corn Flakes sitting on the breakfast table. I guess I watched tv too much when I was young. :) Very pretty indeed...and worth gettin up for, for sure!
I know that every time that I come to your blog, I will see some beautiful photos. My favorites are the barns.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful scenery.
Hugs,
Audrey Z.
How I would love to have a barn... Great photos!
Great shots. It really looks cold.
We've been especially warm here, in Central Texas....almost 80 today.
Hope you can stay in out of the ice.
Thanks for dropping by my place.
we got the ice....no school, no fun outside. i think we would all rather snow too!!!
your photo is so lovely!! makes me want to get up early too and see the sun rise...too bad it never happens.!
I really like seeing your sunrise photographs, Barb. I wonder if you'll still be getting some when your sleep studies end! :)
Hope things are going well for you and thank you so much for sharing your sunrises at Sunlit Sunday.
Enjoy your week,
Karen
Well worth getting up early if you get shots like this! Of course, wintertime here you don't have to get up early at all to catch sunrise shots.....
Dearest Barbara,
Wow, what a stunning shot of sunrise with snow♡♡♡ Oh yes, it must be worthwhile to get up early with this gorgeous view(^_^)v
Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
Just beautiful! Lovely to see the barn with its round roof in that stillness.

Hello Barbs, thanks for visit me! Your photos are absolutely beautiful! A fabulous contrast. Hugs Ailime
Hi Barb, over from Sunlit Sunday. Your photos are great. I am not an early riser anymore since I love to stay up late reading or watching a movie on my Kindle. It has warmed up here in Central Ky. and we have just missed some snow but we know it will be here some time. Blessings to you and yours this week.
QMM
there is something really special about that early morning sunlight. You have captured it beautifully!!
Oh Barb, we had FREEZING RAIN last week and it is the first time I have ever seen it here in Utah. It is horrid! Hoping you will be safe and warm all day and night!
Thank you for your nice words. They made me smile really big.
The snow gives such a soft quality to those pictures. The sun rise just enhances it. Beautiful.
Well I'd say yes, because these pics ARE beautiful, but who wants to get out of a warm bed on a cold morning? enJOYed!
These are great, Barb. Worth getting up a little early for.
Barb, these are wonderful shots of the barn. Beautiful sunrise! I hope you sleep study is going well, have a great day!
I have the hardest time getting up early.. I've learned their really are two kinds of people, night owls, and morning larks. I'm a night owl. Oh - but the views & photos are so worth it in the morning!
Lovely photos, and thanks for visiting my blog as well, Barb!
I appreciate your kind words.
Oh, these are beautiful!
Those photos are gorgeous.. it looks like you live in a little slice of heaven
Robyn :)
PS: Hope the sleep study wen well!
