Bachman's Idea House and taking a break

Last week I was able to spend some time at the Bachman's Idea House in Minneapolis.  Bachmans is a nursery, floral company that was started in the late 1800's by the Bauchman family.  The Idea House was the home of the Bachman family for many years.  Now it is decorated four times a year for the four seasons with vintage and recycled items.  Most items in the house are available for sale.  There is so much to see there but I am only going to show you a few of the unique ideas they used.
This is the front of the house as you walk up.

These small watering cans were used above the door for the address.

Inside the front door

Master bedroom

Teen bedroom

Vintage scooters used as shelves in the boys room

Salvaged, repainted dresser with flash cards and building blocks accents.

Bathroom

You can see me in the mirror.

This is an old mail sorter used as an organizer in the kitchen.

Shelves in the living room made of books

Ironing board as a sofa table in the living room

 Fireplace in living room

Burlap drapes on the porch

Inside the garage above and below

Yard

Haunted House Shed

That's just a few things you can see at the Bachman's Fall Idea House.  I hope you enjoyed the tour.

I will be taking a break for a couple of weeks as I take a vacation to New Hampshire.  I will be able to check email and  your posts and make comments but will not be posting.  I am hoping that Dell will do a couple of posts.

I appreciate all the loyal followers and everyone's comments and hope you all have a great week.

See you soon.
