It was a little foggy and drizzly (is that a word). For the next picture, I used a soft focus from Picasa. I like that look.

a beautiful shot. reminds me of home (wisconsin). :)
it has a look of a layer cake with the different colours.
what a great barn. such a beauty. glad you took this side trip. a real highlight of your journey. (:
Beautiful barn and photo. The rain gives it the soft look too. Pamela
I would take either version...both are nice.
Such a nice old barn! I like both of those shots.
You did a great job with the edit....
What a beautiful barn! Side trips are so much fun, and you never know what you might encounter.
Just like a painting! BEAUTIFULL !
I positively LOVE side trips! This is a beautiful old barn, and your processing is wonderful! Very nice photos!
The light and the faint mist, love these shots!
oh that's really effective in the fog and mist
Cool! It almost looks like a painting.

it's a beauty...and drizzly is a word i use too!
Ah, the photos have a mysterious feel to them. NICE!
Beautiful photos Barb! I love a road trip, haven't done that in a while.

An awesome find, Barb -- and yes, I do believe drizzly is a word! :)
A beautiful shot, it looks like a painting.
It's quite a dreamy looking scene. Glad you were able to spot it and capture it!
I like that look, too, so majestic! They're begging to be photographed on the side of the road like that, don't you agree!
I believe that's a stone foundation, too, love that! I'm thinking there was probably a huge sliding barn door covering the opening up top, at some point. Beautiful old barn!
Thanks so much for joining this week's Barn Charm =)
I like the dreamy quality with the soft focus.
Very nice shots.
I like both versions.
Regards and best wishes
Vacation drives are so much more interesting when you are watching for lovely barns. That one is a dandy!
Gorgeous barn! Looks like this one could have "slipped" over the border into MN from WI!
The soft focus shot looks like it could have come from a fairy tale land.
I like that soft matte too. Can't wait to check out the barn site.

The edit is nice, but I think the original shot is soft and pretty. Great barn.
I love old barns - it's so interesting to see how the styles change from place to place - even the paint colours, sometimes.
Very beautiful capture...I think I like the natural softness of the first one best; such pretty soft colour tones!
Effective edit, lovely.
What a fabulous barn and your shot is beautiful. It's so much fun to get off the main road and take a side trip.

So pretty...my favorite part about driving in Minnesota is looking at all the great barns!
Always love your barn pictures.

great pictures! both of them.
Very nice barn photo. You are so lucky to be able to stop on the highway. My hubby will not go less than 75mph so I have to hang my head out and there's a lot of blurry grass in my photos! lol
Hi lovely lady.
This looks like a painting so Beautiful. I would like to thank you so much for your sweet comments on my new Hippity" Hoppity" post. I hope you have a wonderful St.Patrick's Day with your family.

The fog creates a dreamy look of these photos!
Thank you for including Landon in your prayers... very much appreciated! =)
Very beautiful shots. I like the hazy look.
Beautiful shots!
Have a great weekend.

Hi Barb, Love this barn and the way your softened the second pic is beautiful. Your barns are so inspiring. Yes, I think that drizzly is a word, I use it too. LOL
Thank you for the sweet St. Patrick's Day greeting. Hope you enjoyed a nice day. We worked outside. The weather has become nice and warm and it feels great to get back in the garden.
Have a wonderful week ahead.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
