Grandma Barb’s This and That

Barn from my archives

Since the weather has been so cold and gloomy and nothing is planted in the fields yet, I went back in my archives to September 2012 for this barn photo.  It was taken somewhere near the Twin Cities.

I haven't felt much like posting lately.  The only sign of spring is the green grass so there isn't much interesting to take photos of...no pretty flowers, no flowering trees, no blue skies or pretty sunsets.  It rained a little overnight.  Still no sunshine but the temps are warmer.

Thanks for stopping.  Have a beautiful week.
Until next time
Barb

It's looking really green here. We had all that flooding, followed by warm weather and everything is popping!
Love the barn, especially that pretty cupola!

White barns are uncommon here. I like it nestled in the brown grass.

I am cold and miserable, too, Barb. I just wish spring would come for all of us.

Love the barn and silo! It looks like a huge barn! Spring has arrived here, but it's been rainy and chilly. We saw snow Friday going to Branson! I've never seen snow in May in MO in all my 67 years.

It is a giant barn, love the silo. It is gloomy here today and we are having a chilly spring so far. Wishing you a happy week ahead.

This is a pretty barn. The cupola looks so small compared to the size of the barn itself. I'm sorry your weather is so bad. It's been sunny here for 11 days and I think the high pressure system over us this past week is keeping that low pressure over the mid-west. We've been fortunate but I think we're in for a change on Thursday with rain then much cooler and normal temperatures. I hope it improves for you. Blessings, Pam

I think I will have to name this one the Kentucky Derby Barn. That little do-diddy on the top reminds me of Churchill Downs. genie

I feel your pain. Spring is very slow in coming this year and its not very motivating to take pictures on cloudy days. This is a great picture and since I missed it the first time I'm glad I got to see it! Twyla

Beautiful setting. I love the golden field in front of the barn and the texture of the roof due to its aging.
We are just finally getting sunshine here, but yesterday turned cool with drissling rain again.
However, my lavender and roses are coming to life as are others' around here, so that helps.

Don't worry, Barb - no signs of spring here in Breckenridge either. We got more snow through the night. Our time will come, I guess...
