Dandelion field

Today is finally sunny after 5 or 6 days of gloomy weather.  Everything is green though and the dandelions are prolific this year.  I took a little drive in the country the other day and found this field of dandelions.

I don't know what this old car is doing sitting at the edge of the field.  It almost looks like someone  is sitting in it, but there's not.

A little closer view.

A different view of the field

Thank you all for you prayers and condolences during the passing of my mom.  They are much appreciated.
I haven't felt much like posting or commenting and the posting will probably be sporadic for the next few weeks.

I hope you all have a great Memorial Weekend.

Until Next Time
Barb

i appreciated you stopping in and commenting, and even better to see you post. but please, take all the time you need. it is a huge adjustment...

those dandelions! wow! my father would have sent us kids out there with buckets to pluck the heads for dandelion wine. :)

That's quite a field of dandelions! It makes a pretty picture!
Nice to hear from you again.

My Mom used to make dandelion wine also.

Take care of you Barb. Healing of a loved one takes time.

You do not need to apologize.

We know what it is like.

You never know how much you miss them till you see that vacant chair.

Wow - that field of dandelions can sure brighten a day - and the car is very cool looking. No worries about blogging - either posting or commenting - just do what feels right for you. Take care, Barb.

Barb, I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom.
I was away from computers & connectivity for a while, and am still catching up.
Thoughts of peace & healing to you.

That is quite a lot of dandelions there - and the car is very comical. I think moving forward in returning to do what we love, is the best step toward healing. I'm glad you shared these photos.

Take care, and take your time!

It looks as though the car was once used for stock car racing...and that field of dandelions is almost daring us not to smile when looking at it.

Barb, thank you for your supportive and caring comments this past week, and I hope you know that I return the feelings in full. You have been a courageous and loving caregiver and daughter; take the time you need and know that we'll be right here waiting for you.

Sending you gentle hugs and many loving thoughts.

That's a gorgeous field! I wonder what the car is there for, though.

We all understand if you don't post or visit. Blogging is not the most important thing in the world for sure.

I wonder if the owner's like dandelion wine?

I just read the other comments. I guess we all had the same idea!

You take your time, Barb, as grief has it's own time. You can't make it move on until it has run it's course. So, we will all be praying for peace for you and when you get back to us we will be happy to see you.

Is there anything more cheerful than a field of dandelions? They make me smile every time!

My neighbor's car seat always looks as if an alien is peeking out at me. Freaky. Ha!

Yes, I understand that your emotions are a little raw just now and that you need time. That is good and as it should be. Catch you next time...

This is such a beautiful and cheerful sight! I actually think the dandelion is pretty in bloom. I'll never forget when my kids were little, they would go pick a handful and bring them to me.

Take care and take all the time you need...we understand. (((Hugs)))

Take care of yourself, Barb, and do what gives you some comfort. It takes time to get your balance again. (My mom passed away 2 years ago in May, my best friend just a year ago.) I hope the fact that you did so much to care for your mom gives you some solace.

Think of you,
Karen
