The Winter Beauty

Remember when I posted the Beauty and the Beast here back in November?  I posted that big beautiful red barn.  Well here it is in it's winter beauty.

I found out that it has been purchased and the new owners are planning on doing some work and hope to have it open by April.  I'm not sure what they are planning but I imagine it will still be an event center.

Last night I saw a pickup totally covered with Christmas lights drive by.  It was awesome! But I didn't have time to grab my camera.  I hope I can find out whose it is and get a picture.

Linking to Barn Charm here.

As always thanks for stopping and have a great week.

See you next time

Barb

I remember when you posted this before, and it was such a beautiful place. It's even better in the snow! Glad it has a new owner.

Even more gorgeous with all that snow highlighting it. I love the cupolas and the overhang with the double doors. So good that someone is going to take care of it.
I really like your header also.:>)

The snow really sets off that incredible barn, Barb. It's just rain here today, so it's not very pretty outside. I hope you find that truck!

Enjoy your day,
Karen

I love this. It looks like a home. I've always dreamed of living in a converted barn. I think this would work. :-)

My paternal grandparents had a red barn with white trim and it was awesome just like this one when it snowed. Janice

First question I was going to ask was what the barn renovation was going to be used for--and you answered! I would have guessed art gallery. Looks wonderful against the snow, doesn't it? A Christmas card image for next year?

That would be a really cool event center - the owners look like they're doing a great job. I hope you get back to see if it's decked in lights!

I saw on the news where a man covered his pickup w/ over 800 Christmas lights, drove thru town & the cops pulled him over & gave him a ticket for obstruction of justice, or something like that... he said he didn't even think about it being illegal, but did it to attract attention to raise money for the homeless in his area... poor guy, now he has to pay a $300 fine! =0
The cops said too many wrecks would be caused for ppl trying to look at the lights instead of where they're driving.
The man has to carry a generator in the bed of his truck to run all the lights! =0

The barn is GORGEOUS in all its winter snow glory!

Thank you for joining in 2012 & hope you'll return for a Happy New Year in 2013! =)

ps i can't remember where that was, but it seems like it was somewhere north of Missouri cuz I wondered why there wasn't snow on the ground.
