A little garden work

Yesterday was a beautiful day...75 degrees, sunny, and no wind.  Today was 90 degrees and 35 mile an hour winds.  I'm so glad I spent yesterday outside.  Here's my little red radio flyer wagon loaded with stuff to plant my window boxes.

And here they are planted.  Looking pretty skimpy now but they will fill in.

Some of my peonies are open

Some are still buds.  This big plant is from my daughter for Mother's Day.  I don't remember the name of it.  It is supposed to attract butterflies and humming birds.  I had to take it in today because the wind was just whipping it around.

I got the Humming Bird and Oriole feeders out yesterday too.  This morning I saw 2 Orioles at the feeders and the Humming Birds have been coming all day.  I did manage to capture this one, but it's through the screen so it's not the best.

I'm linking with Tracie at Fishtail Cottage for Cottage Garden Party # 3

Stop over and see what's happening in other  gardens.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a good weekend.

Until next time,

Your flowers are looking good! I had a trip to the green house today and bought some hanging baskets, but need to get the flowers to plant yet.

I would be awfully excited to see a hummingbird in my garden! I still have work to do outside and I'd like to pick up some plants as well. It's such a traditional thing to do here on our long weekend in May (Victoria Day).

Is the potted one on post, a Salvia maye? How pretty. Lovely to get the hummers!

Those flowers will fill out soon enough and be a mass of colour. It's lovely to see Spring happening while we are in Autumn and heading for Winter.
