City Tour

Yesterday was a beautiful fall day in Minnesota.  In the 80's and bright blue skies.   I just had to get outside and enjoy it. I decided to take a tour of my city little town and snap some photos of the fall color.  Here are some of the trees around town.

An old brick building covered with vines.

A small garden  taken care of by one of the flower clubs.

Our little town had an F5 tornado in 1968 and this is a memorial garden to the people who died.

A metal sculpture stands at the site where a damaged tree stood for years.  The tree  finally rotted so the sculpture was made to take its place.  It's known as the Tornado Tree.

This little stone building was once a gas station years ago.  Now it stands as a landmark on the corner of a main intersection.

Last but not least a look at my back yard and my cranberry bushes that I planted 3 years ago.

Giveaway going on HERE
I hope you had a beautiful fall day.

What a great idea for a post! If we ever get the appropriate temps here, maybe I will get to snap some of these, too. Sometimes our leaves turn right to brown because the temperature drop comes at weird times. Very pretty post and thank you for the tour of your little town! I'm nostalgic for tree color now! andrea@townandprairie

Autumn colour has certainly settled in your area, not much here yet. I love the first 2 tree photos and I have a real weakness for old stone buildings.

I love your yard and cranberry bushes, they are really wonderful.

The colours of the trees in your town are just beautiful.

Thanks so much for sharing your corner of the world - but have to say that I am very very jealous of your temperatures!!!

Hope that you have a lovely weekend.

Oh the trees are so beautiful...and it is amazing that they made a memorial for those people who lost their lives so that their loved ones had a place to visit.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and becoming a follower. I just became a follower on your blog too!
So nice to meet you!!

Your photographs are beautiful! I especially love that red tree at the top! We don't seem to have many reds here in the fall. I read your profile - I've often thought of trying to visit all the lighthouses around the country, too! Have you been to the Marblehead Lighthouse on Lake Erie? I live near it!

Oh my word, your pictures are stunning. I so miss all the fall color. Living in the desert we don't have this beautiful sight to enjoy. We are finally suppossed to have our last 100 degree day this week, so maybe at least the weather will fell like fall. Love the post and thanks for all the beautiful pics. Hugs, Marty

Great fall color in your little city. I love the old gas station building. Wouldn't it make a great garden shed? Ah, to dream...

Wow! These pictures are absolutely stunning! Beautiful capture, especially the first shot. And I loved your autumn tablesetting in your previous post... the fall colors are beautifully highlighted against the pretty china and the end table vignette with the lights and fall leaves looks sooo pretty. Thanks for sharing these awesome pictures and for your loving comment on my autumn tablescape. Have a wonderful evening!Hugs~Poppy
