September

I first heard the poem "September" by Helen Hunt Jackson when I was in first grade.  I love these first 4 lines and they are the only ones I remember.

The golden-rod is yellow

The corn is turning brown

The trees in apple orchards
with fruit are bending down

 By all these lovely tokens
 September days are here,
       With summer's best of weather,
 And autumn's best of cheer.

September my favorite month and it's almost gone

You can read the whole poem here

Leaving you with a sunset on the prairie.

Barn in a Cornfield

I spotted this barn in the middle of a corn field while on a trip to Mankato.  It is somewhere around New Ulm, MN

Playing around in Pickmonkey.  I don't even remember what edits I used.
