Friday's Ramdon 5

I have really been having a hard time getting motivated.  This winter  has had so many cold, cloudy, dreary days.  We haven't even had much snow to pretty up the landscape.  I shouldn't complain as we have not had the awful weather that others have been having.

I've been debating if I should quit my blog.  But I guess I'm not quite ready even though I hardly get around to posting or to visit any of you. I have been spending more time on Facebook and have connected with several of you there.

My visit to Mayo didn't give me quite the news I was hoping for.  So I will be going back in April for more tests and decide what treatment I will have.

I had a fun weekend over Valentines Day.  I went to my daughter's in Waconia and she and her husband took me out to eat for my birthday on Friday the 13th.  Then I spent Valentine's day at my granddaughter's school where they were having a Show Choir competition.  It is so fun to see all the different schools perform.  They come from all over.  Her group didn't compete because they were hosting the competition.  But they did perform.

Even though this winter has been pretty blah we have had a few beautiful sunsets.

Have a great weekend and stay warm!
See you next time.

i passed so many photo op's while i was out yesterday, it was just too cold to get out and take pictures....(and i can't believe i really said that)!! i am always up for picture taking!!! i have great opportunities in my yard, i've been cooking and cleaning and sharing that "crap"!!!

crafts, projects....maybe doing some of that would inspire you. i hope you don't stop, i would miss you!!!

sorry you did not get more decisive news at mayo!! stay warm and happy!!!

Happy "belated" Birthday Barb. Keeping prayers that in April you get better news and you find the right treatment path to take.

Wow, that sunset really is heart-warming! I was sad to read about your health issues - and your thinking about quitting to blog... now that I jut found you! But I hope you will be a lot better soon and that spring will find its way to your neck of the woods soon, too!

Happy Belated birthday Barb... sending you warm hugs.

I'm sorry to read that you weren't able to get things resolved on your last visit to Mayo, but holding high hopes that April's path will provide you with a clear direction. Not knowing has to be contributing to the winter's malaise.

Do what you need to, just remember that we're here when/if you return.

Belated Happy Birthday, Barb! It is hard to stay motivated isn't it? Thank goodness for sunsets. Sorry you didn't hear what you wanted, but not going back until April must mean it is not too, too bad. Stay warm and take care!

I'm glad you had a nice Valentine/Birthday weekend!
It's hard to be motivated to blog this time of year, at least for me, but I do hope you continue if you enjoy it. We enjoy reading your posts!
Sorry your news wasn't better. I will keep you in my prayers. Take care!

Funny how similar our current posts are. I too reflected on not blogging much. I don't know that I could ever quit but I'm not doing much so I wonder. Happy Belated Birthday! Mine was the 14th.
Stay warm!

Happy belated birthday to you! It is sometimes impossible to keep up with blogging, but don't quit. It's a nice way to connect now and then. I, probably the only person in America, don't do fb.

How in the world did the cold weather pass you up and hit KY? Maybe you should move a bit further south, like KY?

Oh Barb.. I am sorry that you didn't have the good news that you wanted to have with the tests. Sending you thoughts and prayers!

Beautiful picture!! This has been somewhat of a blah winter... I admit.

Everyone has facebook, and twitter and instagram and every kind of social media..... seems that blogging is kinda dying out. Maybe because it eats up so much time in a day.
I will still read if you continue to blog.. but I completely understand your thoughts of closing up your blog too :)

Hope you have a happy day!!

I'm sorry that the visit to the Mayo didn't bring the sort of news you'd hoped for. That's hard, I know.
As always, your photo is beautiful and uplifting - thank you for posting it.

I completely understand your need to take some blogging breaks - I've done a few of them, myself. The colors in your sunset are beautiful. I hope you're doing well and find some treatment options that work for you - take care!

Do what moves you at a pace that is right for you. I hope the folks at Mayo are able to sort things out for you.

Happy belated birthday!

Oh don't stop blogging. I enjoy your pictures. This picture is fabulous.

Your dedicated fans would cry if you gave up to not do it.

I have been not as dedicated but one of me to your handful admirers makes it all worth while to keep going for them. When Spring pops in to gear soon. You may feel much different. All I see is brown earth and no tree buds or wild flowers neither. A real depressing winter for all.

Happy Belated Birthday also.

Hello Barb,
Happy Belated Birthday. I came in on and off and seen the door blog was not open. I so wondered about you and kept you in prayer. Will keep you in Prayer for your next appointment. Asking the Lord to make it better much better.

I have been on and off myself. Had a cataract removed. Went well and then almost healed. It went blurred. So now different eye drops. One day I see another day it is blurred.

Have an appointment In July. To see about either a hip replacement or knee. Right now. I walk with a cane . Xrays showed Bone on Bone. Not fun getting ill or being an old lady before my time. You are loved here. And I missed you like everyone else.

Barb, how are you? Just popped by to see if the door was unlocked and so found that it was. Wanted you to know that I was thinking of you.
