My Christmas Tree

Good morning everyone!  Yes, I am alive and well and thought it was about time to post something Christmasy.  I have been so busy.  I spent several days with my daughter over Thanksgiving.  Ever since I got home it's been one Christmas party, dinner, luncheon, tea, etc. Fun but tiring. Today I finally have a day at home so will show you my Christmas tree.  I did a very different tree this year.  I used one of my tall skinny trees and  my lighthouse decorations and some antique ornaments.

This Lighthouse was sent to me from my cousin in New Hampshire.  She got it at a garage sale for $2.00 and knows how much I love lighthouses.  Isn't it pretty. Thanks Cindy!

These are a couple of the antique ornaments.  They are from when I was a child so they are really old.

I have been visiting some of you but just have not been commenting.  I hope to visit you all soon.  Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great weekend.  Now I'm off to finish my cards.

Until next time

Barb

p.s.  Don't ask how I got the lights to twinkle.  Google just uploaded them like that.

google has a new feature they automatically added by default called 'auto awesome'. it adds effects to your photos (which works really well on yours today!). if you shoot a sequence of shots, it'll also string them together into a moving slideshow. you have to go to your google account, get into settings and uncheck the box for auto awesome to disable it. also on that same menu is an auto enhance feature that changes your photos from how you upload them - altering them for 'better' processing. you need to uncheck that as well if you don't want them messing with your stuff. google is taking over the world...

but, as i said, it worked really well for your post today!

p.s. those enhanced features are actually under the google+ settings menu.

You have a gorgeous tree! Google's "auto enhance" feature was actually degrading my photos after I would upload them to a post. I had to go into my G+ settings and uncheck the auto enhance box as Tex said.

You sound as if you have been very busy having fun! That is a nice way to do busy. Your tree is very cute and the lighthouses are a nice motif. It's so nice that your cousin remembered you in such a meaningful way! That one looks as if it could be on the coast here.

I love the twinkles - wish mine did that. Your tree is wonderful - and I love the lighthouses. I'm glad you got a quiet day to stay home - though parties and teas and luncheons are a lot of fun too.

I really like the tall, skinny tree effect Barb' - practical too as the big ones take up so much room, not to think about how tiresome unpacking and packing up again. Pretty decs. your house

Very pretty, and I love the twinkling lights.... they are awesome!

You have a tree topper that is similar to ours. Ours is very old also and so far this year, I haven't found it. It's in a box... somewhere.
Our kids thought that we should buy a new tree topper.... but, no.
I'll just wait to find ours, or it can wait until next year :)

Merry Christmas!
