Shoveling Leaves and Snow

Have you ever heard of shoveling leaves and snow at the same time?  Well I hadn't until Wednesday when we had our first snow and then the leaves fell.  Here is what it looks like.  The 1st photo is my first pass down the sidewalk.

This next one is my second pass with both leaves and snow in the shovel

The last one is when I finished and the leaves kept falling.  Notice how many are on the street at the top of the photo.

You can see more leaves and snow pictures in my previous post.

Thanks for stopping and have a nice weekend.
See you next time
Barb

Now that looks like a fun job! NOT. Shoveling wears me out!

we experienced the same thing in early november last year. first super storm sandy and then just a few days later a freak snow storm. most of our leaves were still on the trees!!

crappy work, but it looks kinda pretty ;)

Boy, that is weird. I have lots of leaves and they say we may get a little snow. Strange weather.

you are right you are really shovelling more leaves than snow, brrrrrrr!!!!

I am sorry you had snow so early there. I am hoping for little or no snow here this winter. Ice is even worse.

The photos are so pretty, but I'm glad ours has melted...we have so many leaves to rake!

That must have been a messy job. I hope you put your feet up afterwards, Barb.

I think it looks rather pretty to see the leaves on top of the snow. I guess the leaves were waiting for the cold and snow to led go and fall. Have a great weekend Barb.

so you have a wheelbarrow? Where do you take the snow/leaves to? Obviously the snow will melt at some time...I'm curious?

So you are getting two jobs done at once. They are talking of some flying snow here by next Wed or so.

Ugh! A home owner's worst nightmare. We've had one snow a few weeks ago, but the leaves weren't down yet. Ours are just starting to fall and I can still get rid of them with the lawn mower, but soon that won't be the case and I'll have to get out the rakes.

That white stuff sure makes the leaves look yellower. Pain in the butt, though!

I've never had to shovel leaves. I would think it would make shoveling the snow a bit more difficult. Makes for nice shots, though!

Lots of work, but it sure looks pretty! Keep cozy! xo

You need to have a discussion with that tree about the proper time to drop its leaves.

I have to say the yellow and white is pretty together but it does look alittle strange....Be safe shoveling and I hope you have a great weekend...

That is totally crazy, we still haven't gotten any snow but I know it will be here soon. Makes for great photos :)

it absolutely made me think of vanilla frosting with some sort of sprinkles on it - maybe butterscotch chips. :)

Barb, I have never shoveled leaves and snow. It's not an easy job.

The pictures of leaves and snow are very beautiful. They are like a wonderful carpet covered with snow.

Warm hugs to you Barb!

Oh my goodness! We would never have that here in the South. I can't imagine leaves and snow at the same time.
Love the pics!!

Oh my, that doesn't quite seem fair. The gold leaves and snow together do make for some pretty photos, though.

That's very unusual! Snow in Autumn!!
I live in a sub-tropical climate but I did grow up in a much cooler climate.

Hi Barb, WOW I remember those days of snow and leaves when I grew up in Michigan. The color of those leaves against the white snow is pretty.
Your front yard is darling and I love the window boxes.
Just caught up on your past posts and like always, your pics are incredible.
Enjoy the rest of the week and stay warm.

What an amazing sight! It does make for some pretty photos, but very unusual, right?!
We had a cool spell that dipped us into the low 70's. Yea!
The heat has been unbearable.

I 'm thankful we mowed over most of our leaves before our snow fell.
I still like those golden leaves atop the snow. That part's pretty. I'm sure the shoveling wasn't much fun and the leaves will still be there when the snow is gone. Ugh...

Olá Barb, absolutamente extraordinária essa combinação de neve e folhas que adorei! Aqui ainda está muito sol e a temperatura bastante amena. Um abraço e grata por me ter visitado. Ailime

Oh my, does this mean a cold winter to come? The mix of leaves and snow does make a beautiful scene.
