Emanuel Lutheran Church

I have often seen this church off the highway a ways when I drive to and from my daughter's at Waconia.  The last time I was there I had to take a detour that took me right past this church so I had to stop and take a photo.  It is the Emanuel Lutheran Church and School at Hamberg, MN.  I thought it had such a pretty church and spire.  Around back of the church was a large cemetery.

Linking to InSPIREd Sunday

Thanks to Beth and Sally  for hosting this meme.  Stop over to see other churches and spires from around the world.

Thanks for stopping and have a wonderful Sunday

Until next time

Barb

Very pretty! It always kind of nice to get the opportunity to stop and see something up close that you've been passing by for years. These are such pretty shots!

If there was ever a perfect church, this is it. Great shots Barb.

Yes, the church is very attractive, especially from the angles you've taken the photos from.

Gorgeous photos, Barb. I am glad you stopped for this one. Thanks for sharing this week!

PS - it snowed up north last night but lucky for me, I missed it. I am home for the week.

I like the second shot!
While the church is beautiful in its lines as seen in your first shot, seeing the steeple pointing up into that gorgeous sky is what always gives me reason to pause and reflect.
Lovely shots Barb!

Morning Barb...beautiful photos and I love how you have captured the beautiful architecture...it truly inspires a peaceful setting.

Thanks for all your efforts in trying to get on my blog. I don't know what is wrong and why you are having trouble getting on now. I switched back to a public setting because obviously the private one was not working so it should be back to the way it was. Please let me know if you are still having difficulty...I re-did it again just now so hopefully it's back to normal again. I might just give up on it altogether if it's still not working...maybe I should just start a new one altogether??? Well anyway if you don't mind could you send me a message so I'll know. Thanks Barb and have a great week.

Admire the way the design elements are repeated throughout the exterior. Gives the church a neat and orderly appearance and this same feeling is echoed in the cemetery. Your chose a great perspective from which to shoot this photo, Barb.

Such a lovely church. They surely don't build them like this anymore. Thanks for sharing, Barb. Hope you have a happy day.

Olá Barb, Belíssimas fotos do celeiro! Apreciei bastante as pedras da fundação semelhantes a pedras aqui de Portugal também utilizadas na construção de moradias. O catavento tem pormenores lindos! Abraços e continuação de boa semana. Ailime
