Mom's bits of wisdom

Today I'm going to share some of my mom's famous sayings.

1).  "Work is the greatest thing in the world, save some for tomorrow".  I am very good at this.  So yesterday I took the day off to go to a garden tour with 2 friends.  One of the reason I didn't get around to visit you yesterday. This was my favorite place on the tour.  I'll share more photos later.

2).  "Live a long life but never grow old".  Maybe that's why this 40 year old  in this 70 year old body doesn't get much done in a day either.

3).  "Remember, you are not fully dressed until you put on a smile".  I always put on my smile as soon as I put on my bathing suit in the morning.  :0)  No I'm not showing you that,

4).  "Worry is putting today's sun behind tomorrows clouds".  I need to work on this one.  Sometimes I worry too much.

5).  If you love something, set it free.  If it come back to you  it is meant to be".  She told that to one of my daughters many years ago when she broke up with her boyfriend.  They will be celebrating their 29th anniversary in a couple of months.

Well  there you have it.  Bits of wisdom from my mom who lived to be 96 but never grew old.

Linking to Random 5 Friday with Nancy at A Rural Journal.  Stop over to learn facts from some of the other bloggers

Thanks for stopping and have a great weekend.

Until next time

Barb

These are great Barb, and made me smile today. Your mom was a wise lady who lived a very long life with class I think. If we could all think as young as she did we'd be happy campers. Enjoy the weekend. Pam

THANK YOU FOR NOTICING MY LAST POSE. Not to sound vain but that was my fav of the entire shoot. I had to include it. No one else has said anything specifically about it. Yes, general niceties that I appreciate so much.

I worry too much, too. I told myself, this fall, when I go back to work, I'm not going to care so much b/c it just east me up. I need to just give it all to God.
