Abandoned Barn

On one of my road trips I found this abandoned red and aqua barn.  Have you ever seen one this color?  I hadn't.  I drove in the driveway but didn't know if I should be there so only snapped a couple of photos and left.

Linking this to Barn Charm

Have a great week and I'll see you next time

You find the most interesting barns... I've definitely never seen one like this one. Great Pictures!

I wonder if there was a special on paint!? Interesting combination, but I do like the shape of the top!

I'm not sure about the aqua, but I like the rest of the barn. I can say I've never seen that combo before!

I don't think red and aqua go together, but somebody must have liked it. I love the shape of the barn and the stone foundation - minus the aqua.

A very neat barn. I imagine the aqua was a later paint job.

Love the red- but someone got a little carried away with that greenish blue color on the bottom. Cool shaped barn!

That's an interesting one. I like it. Maybe they got leftover paint from a school, hospital, or government building. Lol

NO, I've never seen this color combination on a barn before. Its a shame someone had to abandon this barn. My Poppaw had a barn built much like this one. With the concrete blocks, it's built better than the house I lived in as a little girl.

Oh what a beauty... Aqua is very unusual, indeed... I think I would have painted it white, but hey, to each his own, ya know! LoL! Great barn find, for sure!

Thank you, Barb =)

Very unique and original find. I have never seen a barn in my area of this shape and the color is so unusual.

Sad to see it just slowly going to rot by natures forces.

Hi Barb!
Great barn, and no, I've never seen one painted like that.
The hay loft door is sorta bell shaped also... at least that's what it looks like to me.
So unique and so charming!

Smiles :)

That's a barn to remember. Lots of folks have a red, black or all natural but aqua and red. Way cool.

Thrifty farmer, sale on aqua paint? This is one of the best barn shapes no matter what color it comes in.
