Looking Back

This has been an amazing year with learning to blog and meeting all of you.  I was planning to show some pictures of Christmas Eve at my daughter's.  She is such a great decorator.  But, I left my camera there so I don't have any pictures to show you.

Since I didn't finish many projects in 2011, I thought I would just show some collages that I shared in previous posts. Some are early on in my blogging days and others are later in the year.

I have a lot of projects planned for 2012 and some New Years resolutions for organizing and de-cluttering.

I have enjoyed meeting all of you and want to thank you all for your kind comments and encouraging  words.  I have some changes planned for my blog after the first of the year so stay tuned.

Wishing all of you a Blessed Happy New Year!

All Around the House

Well maybe not all around the house, but a couple rooms.  I didn't decorate the bedrooms so you won't be seeing them.

First up is the living room.  Some of the shots you will have seen before, but I wanted you to get the feeling of the whole room.  The room is long and narrow.

On the entertainment center I have a vignette with an angel and my lighted houses.
You can see the lighted houses  here

In this corner of the room I have a chair, lamp and a little table where my Christmas Cactus sits.
It really bloomed nice this year.

Along this wall there are three windows where I have my Christmas tree.

Next to the  Christmas tree is an antique chair and desk that have been in the family ever since I can remember.
I bought the antique lamp that sits on top,

At the opposite end of the room from the entertainment center is my little dinning nook which you've seen many times.

To the right of the table is the door to the kitchen and then along the wall is my couch.  You can see the Christmas tree in the mirror above the couch.  The mirror was given to my aunt by my grandmother sometime before 1960.  When my aunt was dying a few years ago she gave it to me.  It is very special to me.

At the end of the couch is a side table with a little vignette and then a door to the hallway.

Next I'll show you a couple of vignettes in the kitchen

Some day year I am going to paint this bakers rack white.

Next are a couple of pics of my snowmen
This little guy is sitting on a white wicker table

These guys are on a shelf

I did a little decorating in the bathroom but it was really hard to get pictures because the room is so small.
I had to stand in the bathtub and shower to get these.  :0)

Sometime I will do a post about this bathtub that Dell & I refinished.

This one is taken looking in the mirror.

I hope you enjoyed the tour of my house.  I enjoyed having you.  Thanks for stopping by.

I will be linking up with these parties this week.
Stop over and see what's going on there.

Christmas Tree with Hydrangeas

Honey over at 2805 is having a Christmas Bog Party featuring Christmas Trees and  I am joining in.

This one was taken during the day with the lights on.

This one was taken at night.

My living room is small so I used the tall skinny tree that I have.  I have several fresh artificial trees that I change off using each year.  I bought some new balls when I was at Bachman's.  They had the prettiest light green balls that I really loved and they were 50% off.  Other than that, I used what I had, mostly my dried hydrangeas, pine cones, a few faux berries, and a few other things.  Here are some closeups of the tree.

These were taken during the day with the lights off.

I like the ones at night with the lights on.  How about you?

Please go over and check out all the beautiful trees with
