Here are more pictures of the wild phlox  I showed the other day, along with a couple of fences.  I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Beautiful flowers! I particularly like those two very strong photographs with the silos creating strong verticals and then the powerful horizontal lines of the fence, all balanced by the brilliant phlox flowers. Wonderful.

A thing of beauty and how fortunate to have this wildflower growing in your friend's (?) fields. A downer though--is it an invasive plant? Especially appreciated your between the fence rail shot!

the contrast between the delicate flowers and the strong fences is wonderful

So gorgeous! Barb, it was nice to read about your trip to Martha's Vineyard and Oak Bluffs! I'd love to visit there...but don't know if I ever will either. I have SO many places I want to visit!

I see we are kindred spirits in that we like to take pictures of the countryside of all of it's memories and nature. On my recent trip I saw several fields and roadsides of these purple flowers and didn't get a good shot nor have any idea what they were. Thanks to your blog I now know they were probably Wild Phlox. SO enJOYing your blog. Follower, of course!
