Here it is from a different angle.
But this post is more about the wild phlox and the other out buildings near this barn. My friend has been telling me to come out and take pictures and so this morning I did since it is such a beautiful day.
I will be showing more pictures of the phlox on Friday Fences.
Linking to Barn Charm at Bluff Area Daily.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week everyone.
Until next time,
Barb

Oh Barb how amazing is that phlox? Love your images. I too love to tramp through barns and fields but have not done much of that lately.
Barns are one of the things I miss about growing up on a farm. So many good times playing in them.
Fantastic, Barb! The two silos with the purple flowers...wow! You took some wonderful photos!
holy smokes! that's awesome!!!
Lovely and serene. Doesn't get any better than that.
Oh boy, does that add to the beauty of the farm or what!! I've tried gathering seeds for wild phlox, now I'm gonna go out and try some more!!
Your pics are wonderful, so glad your friend invited you out!!
The flowers are so pretty- love the purple hues. I really like those silos- pretty neat.
Wow! I love the barn, and the wild flowers make a lovely shot!
Love the shot of the barn from the different angle and the shot of the two silos with the wild phlox. The wild phlox really does steal the show!
Wonderful barn shots but the image of the two silos fronted by the phlox is capturing most of my attention.
Lovely images Barb!
oh wow; I love the silos with the phlox in flower; how beautiful. Glad you went Barbara!
Those purple phlox are simply wonderful growing beside the barns, very photo worthy indeed! Great post my friend. Diane
Isn't that beautiful!? Like a sea of purple! Great photos, Barb!
What a wonderful view with the flowers! The barn is nice enough on its own...but wow!
What a great spot for that wild phlox.
I have been removing it from my gardens, but letting it seed in the wild areas. I do love it, but it can take over so quickly that I now yank it out of the main gardens.
I think it's gorgeous with orange poppies.
What an unusual barn with the elevated fence. And of course, the phlox steals the show! Beautiful, Barb. :)
Once again you've managed to capture some lovely images. You truly have a "gift" with photography!
I am lucky enough to see your amazing work in person and I am awe of your talent. Again, I am so honored to receive such beautiful works of art.
Wishing you a beautiful week, Barb. xoxo
We had a flooding rainstorm all day yesterday and all night. Maybe that is why I am unable to bring up your photos this week. What a bummer. When I see comments like the one from Theresa, I really do want to see them. Will try after I get home from school. genie
YEAH! I came back and gave it another try and had success. No wonder you are getting mucho accolades on this one. It is magnificent if you can call a barn magnificent. The flowers add so much beauty to the scene...and 2 silos...that is always impressive. I agree. This is awesome. genie
Beautiful pics Barb...very nice!
These pictures bring the word idyllic to mind. Love those two silos side by side and with the purple blossoms out front they are just exquisite.
wow..the phlox is such a beautiful addition!
What beautiful pictures! That phlox is wonderful. Since I've only been with barn charm for a short while, this one is new to me. So pretty.
FANTABULOUS! I love the phlox, flowers really pretty-up any scene & this is so pretty!

That's a beautiful barn photo! And I love the wild phlox. I had some growing at the edge of my garden, but it got plowed up. Will have to get another start and try again.
Have a wonderful day!
Oh, that phlox is absolutely beautiful!! Reminds me of my great-grandmother's house...it even got me choked up!
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing these lovely photos...

Oh, that is beautiful. A flood of color!
I can just imagine the fragrance. Such a bonus for the photographer. Is this a wild phlox? Never seen anything like it. Look forward to Friday Fences. And I do remember this barn and that odd fence which your explained was a "cattle router."
Phlox is so pretty, especially a mass of it when it moves in the breeze. Lovely photos, Barb.
Just so lovely and pretty purple/pink flowers. What a beautiful season and brilliant days ahead!
OK I love everything about everyone of your beautiful pictures and would love to shoot the kids right in the middle of all that gorgeous Phlox.
Can't wait to see what else you will be sharing. hugs, Cherry

You know, I left all my Phlox at our home in Virginia because it seemed to belong there....:)JP
Barb....These are just tooooo pretty. The wild flowers are gorgeous. Your processing of the first shot is perfection. What a lucky gal you are to be invited to take photos. I know you were in seventh heaven. awesome shots and one great post. genie
What a beautiful purple carpet.
LOVE all that phlox!
Good morning Barb!
Thanks so much for sharing the barn picture(my fist time seeing that barn) and the phlox !

Hi Barb, The barn is amazing and those phlox are heavenly. I bet the scent was wonderful. Looks like it was a pretty day.
Your photos are always the best.
Have a great evening.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
Barb: these are lovely pictures, however, the flowers are not phlox. They are commonly confused with phlox, but they are Dames' Rocket (Hesperis matronalis). If you look at the flowers, these plants have 4 petals arranged in a cross. All phlox have 5 petals. All phlox are native to North America, but the beautiful plant in your images is native to Europe and has become well established throughout eastern North America. It is, in fact, a weed.
Such gorgeous phlox! And wonderful barn! Forgive me if I don't comment on everything...having trouble seeing all the pics on people's blogs!
