Mondays Barn

This barn was right across the road from the church I posted yesterday.  Fun taking a detour when you get to see more churches and barns to photograph.

Love the stone foundation

Pretty fretwork in the gable and I love the cupola and weather vane

Thanks for stopping by.  Enjoy your Monday
Until next time
Barb

I love your barn. Somebody went to the trouble of putting the window in where the stonework is.

That is a beautiful barn! I also love the stone foundation and the cupola with the weathervane. I was thinking about Tricia's Barn Charm this afternoon and missing it but I guess we can still post our favourite barn photos.

I really like these shots. The foundation is very unusual for barns like these.

Do you ever take a road you've not taken before on purpose? And have you ever done that all day long? When gasoline was much cheaper, we used to do that and I loved those kinds of adventures. Your new to you barn is an architectural delight.

After reading your post and seeing your lovely photos of this barn, I am thinking I need to pay closer attention to the details of the barns in my area.

There is so much to like about this barn. I like the stone and wood combo and the way the bottom boards are horizontal, the trip at the top, the cupola, and the lightning rods.
You captured a beautiful barn Barb!

You have such awesome barns around where you live/drive. All of the farms around here are gone due to developers buying up farm land for stores or homes. dang.

Thanks for your well wishing. I at least feel well enough to blog, finally. (hug)
