Barn Quilt

On my way to my daughter's, I spied this barn with the bright barn quilt.  The quilt looks new and really stands out on this old barn.  The barn sure can use a paint job.

My mom has a quilt made with this pattern.  I believe it is called flower garden.

Thanks for stopping!  Have a great day.

See you next time

How nice is that Barn. Barb you find the unusual Barns things.

Great! Thumbs up for your find.

I found something unusual myself from a little help from my newspaper this morning.

For cat lovers.

You've introduced me to barn quilts with some previous photos and I decided to look up whether there are barn quilts in my province. It seems there are some. I may have to go on a little trip this spring or summer!

What a bright splash of color on an otherwise gray day! I always think that if they're going to the trouble to put up a quilt square that they will take care of the barn.

A paint job would help preserve the wood but I do like the peeling paint look.

I wonder where the decoration of barns with quilt patterns started. They sure do dress up a barn!

A beautiful quilt design. The colors are so vibrant. I use to collect ceramic plates that had different quilt patterns.

What a lovely barn that is and the quilt just pops right out at you.. I agree the barn could use a coat but the more I look at it the more I wonder if it's charm isn't in it's shabbiness..

the snow makes it exceptional!!

It could use some paint, but I really like the intensity of the saturated hues of the quilt against the weathered wood of the barn. Makes for a nice contrast!

It is interesting that they would put that pretty new quilt square on that old barn...maybe they were just trying to dress her up a little......

It is a flower garden pattern and I have one that my grandmother made many years ago...

Love that quilt. Maybe adding the quilt was less expensive than painting the barn :)

Good Morning Barb
and Greetings from Ireland

I just wanted to pop by and wish you
a very Happy St. Patrick's Day.

May you always have
Walls for the winds,
A roof for the rain,
Tea beside the fire,
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all your heart might desire!
