Stone Fence

My  fence for Friday Fences is a stone fence at an old cemetery in New Hampshire.  These pictures were taken October 2011.

Look at the old tomb stones.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Until next time.

Very neat! We don't have fences like that in Michigan.

What a treasured placed. I like old cemeteries, I think the craftsmanship that was put into them is splendid. Not to mention the history. Louisiana has some nice architectural ones.

Love the gate. It does look as if the ground is wanting to swallow all the stones!

Cemeteries are so interesting to me. Some of my family think I'm nuts. Thanks for sharing this one!

Barb, this is a great post of the old stone fence around the cemetery.
Makes me thing of Europe and how they used stone and bushes to make fences.
Love the gate entrance.
Have a great weekend.

These photos just shout New England. Love the way different parts of the country "interpret" stone fences/walls. Kentucky's are quite different from these. October is a wonderful time to be in New England.
