Octagon Barn

On the way to my daughter's near the Twin Cities is this octagon barn, but you can only see the roof from the road.   I've known about it for years, but never had the nerve to drive up the driveway.  The last time I went to my daughter's I noticed that there was no mail box at the driveway.  So on the way home, I got up enough nerve to drive in, snap a couple of pictures, and leave.

To my surprise, there was a little octagon shed as well.

I love the patina of the wood on this one. The little shed is a 'mini me'. You have to wonder what it was used for.
I'm like you, I'm leary of going places I'm not really supposed to be. I'm glad you got these. They are too wonderful to pass up. :)

Oh my goodness! These barns are fabulous and you've captured them so well. It's so darn hard to know whether to take the chance or not when it comes to getting that great shot on someone elses property. I wrestle with that constantly.

How cool. I've only ever seen one in that shape (at least I think it was an octagon). It was the horse barn at Budweiser in St Louis.

What a lovely, old barn! You really are brave...I've found that I'm getting a little braver, too, about stopping at places if I have my camera. The lure of possibly getting a great photo gives me courage! :)
