On the way to my daughter's near the Twin Cities is this octagon barn, but you can only see the roof from the road. I've known about it for years, but never had the nerve to drive up the driveway. The last time I went to my daughter's I noticed that there was no mail box at the driveway. So on the way home, I got up enough nerve to drive in, snap a couple of pictures, and leave.
To my surprise, there was a little octagon shed as well.
Another interesting barn, Barb. The octagon shed is really cool, too. I love being able to see all these awesome barns vicariously through you! Thanks for sharing.
I love the patina of the wood on this one. The little shed is a 'mini me'. You have to wonder what it was used for. I'm like you, I'm leary of going places I'm not really supposed to be. I'm glad you got these. They are too wonderful to pass up. :)
Oh my goodness! These barns are fabulous and you've captured them so well. It's so darn hard to know whether to take the chance or not when it comes to getting that great shot on someone elses property. I wrestle with that constantly.
Amazing find! I’ve never seen an octagon barn with a matching octagon shed. Glad you got up the nerve to venture up the driveway and snap these beautiful photos! And, thank you for sharing them.
What a lovely, old barn! You really are brave...I've found that I'm getting a little braver, too, about stopping at places if I have my camera. The lure of possibly getting a great photo gives me courage! :)

Ah, be still my heart. Great shots!
glad you got the nerve; I know exactly how you felt doing that. The setting is totally delightful isn't it?!
Aren't those rounded barn structures neat?? Amazin g how they raised the roofs on those things.
You are much braver than I, Barb -- but I'm glad you got up the nerve to get these photos. Two amazing structures. :)

Wonderful shot. So not long the leaves are coming up, it will be another look. Great to see what your region is.

How neat! They're both so cool! And I don't blame you for being leery... wonder if the owners have moved away?
Thanks for joining =)
Hi Barb,
I love the octagon shed. It's so cool!

How cool. I've only ever seen one in that shape (at least I think it was an octagon). It was the horse barn at Budweiser in St Louis.
What a beautiful barn. I love the shape!
This is very adorable you would think that a little elf was live there. Glad you you were brave and shared with us.
How different is that? Gosh, I never heard of an octagon barn before, I love how you breath life into them in your photos!

What a fascinating barn! The property looks abandoned. I hope someone will restore it and make it wonderful again!
Hi Barb, what a collection of amazing barn pics you have. They would make a great book of pics.
Love this shape.
