Michigan Barn

The pictures of this barn were taken somewhere in the middle of Michigan just off highway 94 as we were driving back from New Hampshire in October.

I think this is the first time I've ever seen a barn with a white picket fence in front of it. At least an old barn, that is. Nice!

Definitely an awesome variety of views (esp the last) to be put in a collage frame & hang on the wall to see & enjoy everyday! =) Love that sky!

Thank you so much for joining in on Barn Charm =)))

Hi Barb, The barn is amazing. Off 94 huh~~ I may have seen it when I was in Michigan as I was born and raised there.

Like always, your photos are wonderful.
You sure have an eye.
Happy Valentine's Day,

Love all the vines on the sides of the barn and that picket fence is to die for. I have never thought about a picket (either wood or plastic) fence around a barn, but it is wonderful. It really does add a charming touch to the overall image. Great shot. genie

I'm so impressed that you actually get to stop and take pictures out on your country rides. We are always on a mission to "get" somewhere and we don't take the time to stop and just admire. I think I'll have to make a change. This is a lovely barn.

The white picket fence is charming - and an unusual fence for a barn!

Great photos of this lovely old barn. It has alot of charm and I love the weathered boards. It seems the vines are claiming it now.

The fence white as it is against the old faded wood barn is splendid. Thanks so much for visiting me. hugs, olive

I love this! Those vines are so great. My favorite shot is that last one, just because it's so rugged with the vines. But they are all wonderful captures. Thanks for sharing. And thanks for visiting Joyful Altitude. God bless.

Old houses with history, and washed by the weather.
But there is something beautiful about them.

I like the pictures,

I like the contrast here... nice white picket fence and old barn.

What a shame that someone let that one deteriorate! The white fence makes a surreal scene.

Hi Barb, So nice to visit your beautiful barn post again. That sky is just inspiring.
Got an email from the SDP this morning. The new issue of Decorative Painter is going to print. Not sure you are still a member. We get the first issue very late into the new year since last year. Hard to get used to this, but looking forward to it.

Hope you have a great weekend.
Blessings to you.

Great photos. I especially like the last one of the extra little shed added on to the barn. It would be nice to get in there and look around at what is inside!

Crisp blue sky, crisp white fence and then the soft aging brown of the barn; the tangled vines. Gorgeous shots!

Fences sure bring out the quirkiness in people as in this combo of dilapidated building and sparkling white picket. What do you think was going on here? Really admire your last shot with the vines taking over the old building.
