Another Quilt Barn

While visiting my daughter near the Twin Cities this weekend, I found another barn with a quilt square.  So of course I had to take pictures to share with all you barn lovers.

Thanks for all your comments on my last barn picture.  I am linking up again to Barn Charm at Bluff Area Daily.

Have a great week.

Until next time.

This is a beautiful and well-kept barn! Love the quilt barns, we have several of them here in MO. You got some great shots!

oh that's really quaint. I wonder if the property owners wife made that quilt painting?

The wedding ring pattern seems like a pretty intricate pattern to put on a barn, but it looks beautiful. The barn and farm are obviously well cared for.

Hi, Barb
Until your couple of posts, I had never seen a barn with a quilt design on it. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled the next time I'm in the US.

I am unfamiliar with "quilt" barns but I'm thinking maybe it's a derivation of the hex signs that people once painted on their barns to ward off evil spirits. No matter what the purpose, it certainly adds a touch of decor!

I love seeing these barns with quilts on them! I wonder why the idea hasn't crossed the border into Canada!

What a wonderful old barn! It's obvious that the people have taken care of it...even to the point of painting a 'barn quilt' on it! How beautiful!!! I'd love to see one of these in person...I'll just have to use that as an excuse to travel more ;) Enjoy your day.

I have a tiny barn but someday I'll paint one of these for my own! A lot of 'real' barn quilts are at least 8x8 feet, mine will only be 4x4 but I'm still having trouble picking a design!

Thanks for sharing your lovely pictures!
