Willy Nilly Friday 5

1.  My babies are turning 45 today.  How did that happen.  Here they are when they were about a year old.

Here they are again in 1988 when they were graduating.  Look at that 80's hair!

2.  I just finished reading the book, Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand.   Wow, what a story of survival.  I had always heard and read about WW II in the European theater , but didn't know much about the Pacific theater.  What an eye opener.

3.  Last week we had horribly cold weather with a blizzard one day that had wind gusts of 35 to 45 mile an hour.  One of my bird feeders blew away and I haven't found it yet.  Today though is sunny and 35 degrees predicted.  Much better.

4.  Next week I will be going back to Mayo Clinic for follow-up to see if the spots on my lungs have grown.

5.  Last weekend I went to my daughter's to see my granddaughter in her Show Choir performance.  What energy those kids have.  So fun to watch.

Guess that's all the Willy Nilly things I have for this week.  Stop over here to see what other people are saying for Willy Nilly Friday 5.

Thanks for stopping.  Have a great weekend.

See you next time!

Barb

happy birthday to your girls! i don't know where the time goes either...it passes much too quick...they sure were adorable babies and beautiful girls. it must have been difficult having twins then. now things are much easier as we have so many things available for raising twins. my babies will be 13 next month...i wish i could go back to when they were all little. i hope you find your bird feeder. we've had some very cold weather too but will be a nice weekend. so far the winter hasn't been harsh as predicted, but then there's still a lot more left right?! good luck with you scan...i'm praying for you. my great aunt is going through the same thing and has her scan next month. sending hugs and prayers from virginia...thank you for linking and have a wonderful weekend :)

Unbroken is an amazing book and the fact that someone actually LIVED this is even more amazing.

One of these days I am going to read UNbroken...have seen the guy interviewed and the story sounds fascinating.

Happy Birthday to your daughters! Like stepping back in time to see that 80's photo!

Saying a prayer for your trip to the Mayo clinic.

I like Tom's question of why does God give all the energy to the little kids--LOL

Those babies are adorable! Didn't know that you had twins. May you get a good report...cheering you on! Had to laugh with the lost feeder...that blizzard sounded dreadful.

Happy belated birthday to your girls!
Gosh.. I truly miss that big hair we all had in the 80's ...**smile**.
I'm not a fan of the flat hair that todays girls have... just old fashioned thinking, I suppose.

So, is that book the one that they made into the movie that is playing right now? I've been wanting to see the movie.

I'm sending prayers and wishes your way. Hope that your tests bring good news for you.

Isn't it amazing how fast our kids have grown up? They were babies just a few days ago, weren't they?

Our kids sure grow up fast- mine have both passed the 35 year mark and I get weepy every time I think about it. Prayers for your doc visit- I hope the spots have shrunk.
