Ready and waiting

Out at the farm last week this big green tractor was ready and waiting to get in the field.  I think it was able to get in on Monday and Tuesday.  But now it's been raining for 2 days so it will have to wait awhile longer.

When I see enormous pieces of machinery like that one I'm reminded that it cost a whole lot to farm these days!

Now that is a grownup toy, as my grandfather used to say. He would have loved a 'toy' like that to use on the farm but stuck with his much-repaired and repainted (by me) Allis Chalmers until the day he died.

He is why I call every tractor Bessie, since that's what his was named.

It would be fun to ride in one! Your photo reminds me of the song Green tractor song!

It won't be long before all of the wonderful farmers' markets are open, Barb!

I hope you're having a wonderful week.

My dh wants one of those big green machines. I know the farmers are itching to get planting.

Awesome tractor! I just heard a news story that farmers in IL are very behind on planting their corn because it has been so muddy lately. I hope they can all get out there and plant soon.

Farmers around here are having trouble getting into their fields, too.

Your plans for your Mother's Day sound like the perfect plans; church (what better place to think of our parent's) and then to spend time with your Mom. Sounds heavenly to me. Thanks for you fun compliments to me, too! (hug)

Between the cold and the rain, crops are going to be late this year. That is some tractor. Looks like it has tracks instead of tires?

Wow, that is a really big green machine. I wonder what it does? The farmers are getting busy around here too spreading that lovely smelling manure. Thankfully the rain has soaked it into the ground today.

That's pretty much what's happening around here too.

That is something I'm excited to see! Greening up nicely here now, but raining, too!

Big or small, mud stops them all!

Hopefully, they'll get out soon. It's been a strange season.

Our farmers have had a time getting into the fields this spring, too. It rained again today.

Hope the rain does your growing season some good. (But, I guess you must get something in the ground first!)

It's on tracks - how cool is that! Very nice machine!
My husband has a skidsteer on tracks, and just LOVES that thing. My sons, too.

I love seeing the farmers in the fields. There are many pieces of equipment out and about here.

Well the tractors are all out in the fields now. We have had the wettest Spring ever but the last 10 days have been pretty dry so 'business as usual'. MB
