Finally Spring?

Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful day, as did today.  I had to go out for a haircut yesterday and decided to take a little road trip.  I ended up at Lake Laura near Walnut Grove to see if the forsythia there was blooming.  It is just beginning to bloom.  I'm going to have to go back in a couple of days.

Next I took a drive down a road I hadn't been on before.  There I found Plum Creek Park and this little bridge across the creek.  Yes, it is the the Plum Creek from Little House on the Prairie.

When I walked into the woods across the creek I was surprised to see a little field of Snow Drops.
They just made my day!

So I think Spring is finally here.  It is suppose to rain tomorrow and get a little cooler this weekend, but right back up to the 70's next week.  Things should really start to pop then.

Wow, we took a drive there when we were visiting our daughter and her family. My forsythia bushes are just starting to really bud now.

Finally a bit of spring for you! It's been a chill and rainy spring here, the complete opposite of last year.

Btw, I LOVE the bridge photo.

Snow glories! My fav! There is only one place I can see them around here....someone has them all over their front yard, and their front yard is massive! Such a delightful little flower!

Lovely capture of the forsythia Barb -- ours are a bit scraggly and are in need of a haircut themselves after they bloom. :)

I loved reading all of the adventures of Laura. What a beautiful place she lived near that little creek. I am doing the happy dance for you that no more snow comes your way now. Thanks for showing the spring pics. Janice

Hooray! I'm glad you are starting to see some signs of spring. That forsythia will be so pretty here in a little bit.

I certainly hope it's going to be spring there, because it seems like as long as you all keep having winter, we keep having a hint of it as well. It's flirted close to 80 a couple of days while yet this coming Monday morning they are calling for a possible frost here in KY! That's not the norm in May around here.

I'm glad you had a break from the rain and cold. What a pretty park and how nice that it's the one from the Little House on the Prairie. We've had such a great stretch of sunny days here but we need rain and it's coming tomorrow. Blessings, Pam

I noticed the forsythia was blooming here, too. I really must get some! I say that every year, but I never seem to find any. Maybe this will be the year!

Plum creek is a very pretty place.
