The Lineup

I haven't posted for over a week and we are having the same kind of weather that we had back on April 9th when I posted the birds in the snow storm.  Schools are all closed for the 3rd time in April.

Here are the poor little dark eyed juncos lining up trying to find lunch in the alley behind my house.

The poor little robin is all hunkered down in the snow.

I do have some colorful pictures that I took at the Bachman Idea House in Minneapolis last Saturday.  I will post them later today or tomorrow as I'm really needing some color!  I hope you are having some color and sunshine in your day.

Even though I haven't posted in a week, I have been visiting all of you even if I didn't leave a comment.

Until next time!

Barb

When I was a small child I used to say the birds were going to church when they lined up like that. It's plum hot here!

Look at all that snow - goodness sakes.
I was complaining earlier that summer seemed to take over spring here today. Guess I should be thankful for the 88 degrees.
That poor robin is probably feeling betrayed. :)
Take care Barb.

Cute lineup! We have hoards of junkos in the yard. We still had snowflurries last week but today it's close to 80 degrees. Go figure!

Oh, those poor little birds! I can't believe all the snow that is still coming in the mid-west. Crazy April weather this year. We've had a bit of sunshine but rain on the way for the weekend. Maybe the grass will green up a bit. Hugs, Pamela

This usually happens to us once each spring after the birds return.. it snows, and the roads become a hazard, with all the birds flocking to them looking for worms!
They haven't returned this year, though.. except for some Canadian geese I saw running scattered on the frozen lake yesterday.. I'm sure they were looking for something to much, too.
I'm sorry for the little guy, but I do love it when robins puff up all round like that - it's adorable.

Sorry about the snow, Barb! You must be getting tired of it, but it sure is pretty. Poor little birds. Stay warm! xoxo

It's been snowing here off and on all day too. Not really sticking now, but it was earlier.

Funny, I haven't seen any juncos here today, but I did yesterday. Maybe they thought it was a good time to flee. :)

The weather has actually been pretty nice here, but now that I've said that, we'll probably get a foot of snow tonight. I hope Spring comes to your area soon!

Oh the poor little things I suspect they were expecting Spring like the rest of us. B

Oh poor little birdies - they look so cold. I'd never seen them lined up like that. Hope your snow is gone soon.

Oh poor everyone, birds and wildlife included of course. That's not fair Spring taking so long to visit. Your photographs though not full of colour Barb' sure do convey to all of us quite what it's like for you right now. Keep warm and dry and hopefully the sun shines real soon

I think your weather has been similar to ours in CO - not springlike yet! Love the lines of the first photo.

Oh man this spring time is NOT behaving for us either. Utah is usually too hot or too cold. We don't get much of a springtime, really but when we do I AM ALL OVER IT. We have been forecasted more rain today. We don't need rain! We need the sky to be Tiffany Box blue, huh? (hug) for better weather!
